This Week in Review: Reading /6E, Riding Cycles, and Scalping Structure 7/9/2025
Another great start to the week.
If you’ve been watching the options chain on /6E, you’ve had a clear roadmap in front of you. Or at the very least, a blinking signal that says:
EUR/USD isn’t done running long just yet.
The Kicker? Consolidation.
Gamma, open interest, mark values, and vega have all been whispering the same thing:
We’re in consolidation.
And you know what that means?
Scalpy weather.
I’ve had a blast riding the extreme cyclical moves on the 284-tick chart, then scaling out positions on the 74-tick chart. All while tracking cluster zones on /6E for confirmation.
Trading with Structure — Not Guesswork
If you’re a cyclical trader, this week has been a goldmine.
Breaks of structure have been textbook setups for pullbacks.
If you’re an options trader, this has been a week of patience — just waiting for the real directional move to confirm. But one thing is clear:
Calls now outweigh puts.
Just last week, it was a 2:1 ratio in favor of puts. So something’s stirring. Could it be covered calls? Sold calls? Either way — positioning has shifted, and that says something about sentiment brewing beneath the surface.
Waves, Cycles, and Timeframes Aligned
Wave traders?
It’s been a beautiful count on the 1-hour chart.
Pair it with the 15-minute and the structure has been full of opportunity.
This was the kind of week where:
- You could scalp the extremes
- Catch pullbacks after BOS (break of structure)
- Ride trend legs after exhaustion reversals
And if you’re able to read all three — cycles, options, and waves?
You’re not just riding moves…
You’re reading the market.
Personal Takeaway: The Stats and the Joy
Truth is — I’m still learning. Every day. But I’m in sync right now.
-4th week in a row hitting 5%+ profit
-Targeting 20–25% monthly (very doable with compounding and structure)
-Win rate last week: 63%
-Win rate this week (so far): 70%
I’m having a blast. And that’s worth something, too.
Final Word
Markets don’t owe us anything — but they leave trails.
This week, those trails were etched in option flows, cluster zones, and wave counts.
If you’re watching them all, you’re never flying blind.
